Literature Text

Spirit of the west, so ancient, so new
Across the wide plains you flew,
Then came the men, then came the ropes.
Shattering you freedom, removing your last hopes.
Beautiful mustang, you're sacred in my eyes
To others, however, you're meat in disguise
Taken away from your herd so dear
To a place where no one will hear,
Taken away is your freedom and life;
All will be ended by the blade of the knife.

A short poem I wrote to go in a story I'm writing. (about horses)
It's supposed to be like a kid wrote it, maybe 10 or 11 yrs, so I didn't do my best. Hope you still like it!

(It's about the mustangs who are herded up and taken from thier homes, some sold for slaughter or dog food. Basically about horse slaughter in general but geared toward mustangs)

no flaming plz
