Hey, all. I'm sorry you haven't heard from me in so long! My blogs and journal have been inactive since September, and I haven't uploaded much either. School and other commitments have kept me busy, and I've been developing my birding hobby as well. (I've seen a lot of new bird species!) I have drawn weekly and I have many sketches although my scanner doesn't work... this is the reason why artwork is few and far in between recently. I'll try to get a few up though... I have improved greatly and refined my style. I've also expanded my subjects to include deer and birds. Hopefully you will be able to see more, and soon!
I've taken thousands of new photographs and might be getting new equipment. My new year's resolutions are to write more (I've neglected my blogs, and I have started developing a new story as well.) and to upload more to Deviantart. Also, to talk more often to all my friends! All of you on DA have supported me with comments, favourites, and friendship and I need to take time to appreciate it more.
So how is everyone doing? School started in late August for me and I've gotten mostly A's. Sophomore year in high shcool is going fairly well. I've become a Harry Potter nerd as well... read the last three books in two weeks.
I'd really love a Harry Potter scarf for the holidays...! BIRDS, BIRDS, BIRDS! They are my life, I frequently brave the cold, hot, rainy, snowy, or otherwise annoying weather here in Northeast Ohio to view and photograph my avian neighbors. This summer I visited South Dakota, Wyoming, and Montana and saw over 30 new species. It was a blast! You can read more HERE . I have studied my field guides and other books, brushing up on my avian anatomy and identification. There's an Ohio Young Birders club I am thinking of joining... Birding is a GREAT hobby and I'm so glad to have found it!
Now winter is upon us, and it also brings the New Year. An exciting yet daunting realization! Is everyone ready?
